Our Story
ACTS Dodge City Diocese for Southwest Kansas is a Catholic retreat ministry dedicated to helping individuals grow deeper in their faith through the four pillars of Adoration, Community, Theology, and Service. Based at Prince of Peace Parish in Great Bend, Kansas, and serving the Diocese of Dodge City, we believe that every Catholic deserves the opportunity to experience the life-changing power of an ACTS retreat.
Our ministry is built entirely on the dedication and love of volunteers — men and women who have been touched by the ACTS Dodge City Diocese experience and feel called to share it with others. From leadership and planning to behind-the-scenes support, every member of our ministry plays a vital and cherished role.
Our Amazing Teams
The Core Team
The Core Team is the governing body of the ACTS Dodge City Diocese ministry. Comprised of active parish members who have personally attended an ACTS retreat, the Core Team provides leadership, oversight, and direction for the ministry as a whole.
Core Team members serve a three-year term and meet quarterly to ensure the mission and integrity of ACTS Dodge City Diocese remain strong and focused. Their commitment to the ministry helps lay the foundation upon which every retreat is built.
The Retreat Team
The retreat team is made up of the men and women who bring the retreat experience to life. Selected from among previous retreatants, both the women's retreat team and the men's retreat team consist of approximately 20 dedicated members, each led by a director and a co-director.
Retreat Team members pour their time, talent, and hearts into creating a meaningful and transformative experience for every retreatant. Because team members change with each retreat, the experience is always fresh, spirit-led, and uniquely guided by those whom God has called to serve in that season.
The Home Team
Though you may never see them during the retreat, the Home Team is absolutely essential to its success. Composed of former retreatants who willingly serve behind the scenes, the Home Team handles the countless tasks that make a retreat possible — quietly, humbly, and with great love.
They do not seek recognition. They serve because they understand firsthand how vital their role is, and because they want every retreatant to have the same powerful experience that once changed their own lives. Their selfless dedication is a beautiful reflection of the spirit of service that lies at the heart of ACTS Dodge City Diocese.
