Discover opportunities to deepen your faith, strengthen your spiritual life, and grow in community.
Understanding the ACTS Retreat
An ACTS retreat is a three-day, three-night Catholic lay retreat presented by fellow parishioners. The weekend begins on Thursday evening and concludes the following Sunday with a Mass celebrated with the parish community. Retreats for men, women, and teens are held separately, creating an intimate and focused environment for spiritual growth.
All talks and activities throughout the weekend are centered around the four pillars of ACTS:
Adoration
Listening to God and responding to Him
Community
Loving and caring for one another
Theology
Study of God through Scripture and the Catholic Faith
Service
Serving God and His people
Grow Closer to Christ
Holy Scripture and the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church serve as the guides for every retreat. The weekend allows participants to experience God's love and joy firsthand, and retreatants return to their parishes with a deeper love for one another and a renewed desire to become more involved in their faith communities.
The retreat's goals are to:
- Deepen your relationship with Jesus Christ
- Renew your spirituality
- Give new meaning to your prayer life and the Sunday Liturgy
- Build lasting friendships rooted in faith
